Cat started writing scripts for presenters when she worked behind the camera, followed by writing (and voicing) scripts for television continuity (Living/Sky). She became one of the original bloggers, starting her first blog The Cubie Report in the mid noughties.

Cat's first bylines were as a guest columnist for The Sun. She then went on to have her own weekly column in The Evening Express, which she has now written for over six years. She penned a culture and going out column in The Evening Times for two years (which was their highest rating column online) and, more recently, has maintained an extremely popular online column of the same name as her vlog The Mum Word for Glasgow Live.

Cat's passionate about a range of subjects, particularly women's issues, motherhood, Scotland, the great outdoors, psychology (she has an MA in the subject), health, happiness and when on earth we can all go on that space holiday Blue Peter promised us back in 1995...
